- Research Paper
The research paper pulls together much of what I've learned about adult novices in the course of the IDIA program, and satisfies the 30-page research paper requirement for the final project. The paper will consist of several parts.
- Part 1: Introduction

- Problem: Narrative explaining problem of adult novices and framing implications for OS makers, device makers, and software makers.
- Methodology: Narrative explaining literature review, interview and test results, and conclusions.
- Part 2: Literature Review
The literature review positions the problem in existing academic study of adult novices and market-based responses to the problems of adult novices (i.e. services, websites, design strategies, etc.).
- Part 3: Interview and Test Results
The interview/test plan establishes what will happen during research. Supplemental materials include test scripts, image collage assets, consent form(s), and interview/testing assets. Subjects are recruited in combination with one another -- at least 1 adult learner and one helper are required for a cohort. 12-15 people are to be interviewed for one hour sessions.

- Image Collage Results: Section explaining 20-25 minute image collage exercise results.
- Part 4: Conclusion
The conclusion narrative summarizes the major findings from the literature review and research results sections.
