CluelessPC.com is a website designed for novice computer users to direct them through the learning process to overcome the most basic computer problems imaginable.

Like Wikipedia it will allow users from different regions to create and maintain translations of content in other languages. Unlike Wikipedia, the content will be designed to have a fixed and limited scope which should undergo a glacially slow process of change. The assumption behind this mentality is the idea that the primary audience of the site is someone who is an absolute novice.

CluelessPC.com will make use of accessible CSS driven design and will strive to degrade gracefully for users with various disabilities, hardware platforms, and connection rates.

Foundation features include:

• simple cms designed for localized content
• "Email this page to someone clueless" / "Send this link to someone clueless"
• Detect locality
• Override locality

Extended features include:

• Ability for users to submit content
• Ability for users to update content
• Start a new locality
• Change and persist accessability-display preferences: font size, color

Content Structure:

• 10 modules of content (roughly heirarchical) called "Clues"
• A few other familiar pages: about, links, login, contact
• clues may need to span multi-pages and will present any number of familiar web-page assets (e.g. html encoded text, pictures)
• The language-content instantiation must be designed to be extended into more regionalized base sites

The CluelessPC project for Class will be considered successful if it acheived:
